Bryan Gil is a 22-year-old footballer who plays as a winger for La Liga club Sevilla, on loan from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, and the Spain national team. He is known for his pace, skill and flair on the flanks.
Gil was born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, a city near Barcelona, but moved to Barbate, a town in southern Spain, when he was a child. He started playing football at his local club Barbate CF and then joined Sevilla FC’s youth academy in 2012.
He made his debut for Sevilla’s first team in 2019, at the age of 17, becoming the first player born in the 21st century to score in La Liga. He also scored his first goal in European competition that year, in a UEFA Europa League game against Qarabağ FK.
However, he struggled to get regular playing time at Sevilla and was loaned out to Leganés and Eibar in the next two seasons. He impressed at both clubs, especially at Eibar, where he scored four goals and provided three assists in 28 games.

However, he did not have much impact at Tottenham and was loaned out again to Valencia and then Sevilla in 2022 and 2023 respectively. He has scored two goals and provided four assists in 30 games for Sevilla so far.
Gil has also represented Spain at various youth levels, from U16 to U23. He won a silver medal at the 2020 Olympics with Spain’s under-23 team. He made his senior international debut in 2021 and has four caps to his name.
Gil has been compared to former Tottenham star Gareth Bale for his style of play and his long hair. He has also been praised by former players and coaches, such as Luis Enrique, Xavi and Joaquín Caparrós.
