Konami made an official announcement about the future of the PES saga
The video game industry will soon see the birth of a new and fascinating generation of consoles, so we believe it is the perfect time to share with you our plans for the PES saga.
We are pleased to announce that we are working hard on a new soccer title for the new generation of consoles that seeks to be the most faithful embodiment of our core concept: "The Pitch is Ours".
We are developing this new installment with an improved game engine that will allow us to be dazzled with spectacular advances in all aspects of the game: more realistic models and animations of the players, improved physics, photorealistic graphics, and much more.
We know that many of you are looking forward to the introduction of new content on myClub and the Master League, so you'll be happy to know that both modes will be undergoing a crucial makeover.
However, the sheer magnitude of everything we intend to accomplish in our debut within the new generation of consoles has forced us to reduce our efforts in other areas of development. So we've decided that this year's PES launch will be an optimized installment in the form of a "season update." That said, we are fully convinced that what the game offers this year will more than satisfy you until our title for the new generation of consoles is ready for launch.
This year, it is a quarter of a century since the appearance of the first PES title. On the occasion of this significant event and, even more importantly, to show you our gratitude for your loyalty during all this time, we want to announce that this year PES will go on sale at a special anniversary price and accompanied by various bonuses.
At this time, we intend to start testing our title for the new generation of consoles from mid-2021, to have it ready for launch at a later date in the same year.
Until then, we hope to see you on the pitch enjoying this year's season update.
